Swansea, Wales

Summary

Developed in August 2020, Civitas worked with the local authority and care provider to deliver a new state-of-the-art higher acuity facility to meet local unmet demand for higher acuity care for adults, including elderly, living with autism, mental health needs and dementia.

The property comprises five brand new buildings and one renovated building and includes a dedicated hydrotherapy pool fitted with wide steps, graduated depth levels, and seated pool hoist and tracking system from shower bed directly into the pool. The other four buildings are also fitted with hoists and tracking systems, specialist bathrooms featuring highly specialised ‘arjo’ baths, a physical training room, comfortable communal lounges and dedicated nursing rooms.

There is 24/7 care provided on site by a leading provider based in Wales, which specialises in care and support for adults with mental illness, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, dementia and long-term conditions.
